Editorial policy / Version 1.0

Traceable claims, visible uncertainty.

Our editorial standard is designed to make supplier records useful without converting company claims into implied verification.

Source hierarchy

What counts as evidence.

Primary
Official company websites, corporate filings, regulatory databases, patents, and documents issued by the named organization.
Independent
Government, exchange, academic, conference, standards, and reputable trade-publication records.
Supplier-submitted
Material provided directly by a supplier and labeled as submitted until independently corroborated.
Excluded as proof
Anonymous marketplace listings, copied distributor text, unsourced social posts, and search snippets without an accessible underlying source.

Labels

What our labels mean.

PUBLICLY DISCLOSED

Visible in a source

The claim appears in reviewed public material. It is not equivalent to an audit.

SUPPLIER-CONFIRMED

Directly confirmed

An authorized supplier contact has confirmed the record. Independent verification may still be pending.

INDEPENDENTLY CORROBORATED

Second-source support

A relevant independent source supports the claim.

NOT ESTABLISHED

No conclusion

The reviewed record is insufficient. This does not mean the capability or credential does not exist.

Corrections and automation

Human responsibility remains visible.

Automated and AI-assisted tools may be used to organize source material, detect duplicate records, and draft structured summaries. Publication decisions, source attribution, corrections, and scoring remain editorial responsibilities. AI output is not accepted as a source.

Documented corrections should identify the supplier, disputed statement, requested change, and supporting source. Material changes will be recorded in a public change log as that system is introduced.
