Information to include in an inquiry
Share the sequence or a non-confidential description, requested amount, purity target, modifications, terminal chemistry, isotope or conjugation requirements, desired analytical package, and target delivery date. State whether the material is for research, development, or a regulated program.
Do not assume that a short sequence is automatically simple. Aggregation, hydrophobicity, disulfide bonds, cyclization, non-natural residues, conjugation, and labeling can materially change the process and purification plan.

- Quantity and purity target
- Purification and analytical expectations
- Packaging, shipping, and temperature requirements
- Intended use and documentation needs
How to compare quotations
Compare the scope behind the price: process development, number of purification steps, analytical tests, repeat synthesis risk, documentation, shipping conditions, and whether the quote assumes a particular yield. A low price without defined scope is difficult to compare.
Ask whether the supplier has experience with the relevant sequence class and whether it can provide a feasibility assessment before committing to a larger batch.
What the directory can and cannot tell you
A public profile can help you discover companies and understand their disclosed capabilities. It cannot predict yield, final purity, lead time, or batch success for your specific sequence. Those questions require a direct technical discussion and documented quotation.
